Emeritus College Short Talks Luncheon

Luncheon Speakers & Topic

  • Lou-Ellen Finter will talk about “Hohokam: People of the Stone Hoe” 
  • Beatrice Gordon will talk about “Walt Whitman’s Surprising Autopsy”.

Lunch will be a plated meal:

  • BLT sandwich OR Vegetarian option
  • Fruit on the side
  • Dessert – Chocolate Cake
  • Beverage (Iced Tea, Lemonade or Coffee)
  • Please specify if you would like a vegetarian lunch.

Lunch will cost $10.00. Please BRING CASH in the exact amount to pay for your lunch as no change will be available. 

Friendship Village has asked that we inform you that if you RSVP and do not show up, you will remain responsible for your $10 lunch payment.* Likewise, we’ll miss you!

Spouses, partners and friends of the College are cordially invited.
When making your reservation (including leaving a message), please indicate your lunch preference: Vegetarian or Non-Vegetarian

Friendship Village Tempe is located between Price and Dobson on Southern Avenue, on the South side. When you approach the gate, let the guard know that you are attending the Emeritus College Short Talks Luncheon at the Private Dining Room, and he/she will let you through the gate and can assist you in finding the main building.
