Tour ASU Polytechnic Campus

The ASU Retirees Association travel committee has planned a walking tour of the ASU Polytechnic campus to learn about the campus's programs and labs.  We will meet at 10:00 am near the south shuttle stop by lot 37, see transportation below for location details. The tour will include:

  1. Tech center with its shops/laboratories, wearable robotics, 3-D printers, graphics facilities, etc.,
  2. Walk-throughs for Technology/Engineering labs in the Peralta building,
  3. Walk-through of chemistry/biology labs in San Tan,
  4. Go through the Student Union
  5. Visit the student recreation center
  6. Lunch at the Citrus dining hall or at the Barrio Brew House near the airport runways,
  7. After lunch (1:15 PM) gather at ISTB3 building for a tour of the algae/biofuels laboratories and the biofuel test beds, and
  8. Learn about the Human Systems (HSE) center for research which is also in ISTB3. 

Transportation

  • ASU shuttle busses run on the half-hour. If you plan to take the shuttle, park in the Apache Parking Structure. ASURA will provide an all day parking pass to be picked up at Poly during the tour. ASU Tempe pickup locations are on Forest Ave. between Gammage Auditorium and the Student Services building, and/or at the metro rail stop on the northeast corner of campus. Shuttle at 9 AM from Tempe. MCC no longer has a shuttle stop. The shuttle stops near lot 37 at ASU Polytech or near the Flight Simulation building on the northeast corner of ASU Poly.
  • If you drive to ASU Polytechnic, you will enter on Williams Field Road, take a right at the round-a-bout and at the stop sign a left on Innovation Way, lot 37 will be on your left a little east of the stop sign intersection. We will have parking passes to hand out on-site.
