Need a quick break from routine? Consider joining ASURA on a two-day road trip in southern Arizona. Ride in the comfort of a custom touring vehicle featuring reclining leather captain’s chairs and a private guide. The tour itinerary, provided by DETOURS AMERICAN WEST, is:

Day 1: May 8th

• Departure City: Phoenix/Tempe
• Destination: Benson, AZ
• Activities: Walkthrough of the San Xavier Mission, Tour of the Titan Missile Museum, Tour of the Pima Air and Space Museum
• Overnight: Days Inn Benson

Day 2: May 9th

• Departure City: Benson, AZ
• Destination: Sonoita, AZ and Returning to Phoenix/Tempe
• Activities: Tour of Kartchner Caverns (Throne Room), Sonoita Vineyards Tasting, Kief-Joshua Vineyards Tasting, Callaghan Vineyards Tasting

Sound cool? Here are some specifics:

1. Depart Wednesday May 8 at 7:30 am from the south parking lot of Tempe Public Library, and return late in the afternoon or early evening Thursday May 9
2. Minimum of 10 travelers up to 30. Detours vehicles comfortably sits 12 in leather like reclining seats.
3. Cost per person is $375 double occupancy, and $425 single (encourages single travelers to find a room mate)
4. Payment is directly to Detours, credit cards are preferred.
5. When signing in for the trip, please inform the ASU RA office so the travel committee can get a list of participants
6. The only out-of-pocket costs will be meals (except breakfast at the hotel in Benson).
7. Sign up deadline is April 15, so the tour company can book the hotel reservations in Benson.
