Each year, thousands of children are removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. Many of these children become lost in a complex child welfare system, moving from one temporary home to another. A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer speaks up for the best interests of a child who has experienced abuse or neglect to ensure he or she has a safe, loving and permanent home.
During this session, Roger Lurie, Member of the ASU Retiree’s Association will be joined by Heidi Dwigun and Lawrence Falvey from Voices for CASA Children to provide an overview of CASA and ways you can become a volunteer!
